Hello Pyromanians,

If you look at the schedule today, you’ll see that we extended the open gym time on weekdays to 1200pm, so we added an extra 30min. Also, we added a 5pm everyday of the week. The weightlifting stays at 5pm Tuesday/Thursday and Saturday at 10am. The 6pm is getting pretty full most days so it made sense to open up at 5pm and scatter the attendance. Also, tucked in there, is a new beginner’s class at 7pm Tuesdays and Thursdays. This is not to replace the regular CrossFit class, but this time slot will allow us to bring most of the new members together and give them a more focus one on one time. This is still open to everyone just expect that we’ll spend more time on the basics during that time. We looked closely at the sign ins for the last couple months and the 7pm is our lowest attendance so it just made sense to put it there. If you’re regular member, you’ll still get the same coaching, same experience, like I said, just expect more basics, more beginners attending, lots of demonstrations, scale options and progressions. If you have any questions on that, let us know. Also, it might be a great time for regular members to come in, meet the new members, and maybe, just maybe, ease them in by keeping your shirt on, limit the grunting and such haha. You can imagine how it looks when you show up to your first class, you’re just getting back into it and 5 guys are crushing high level gymnastics and heavy lifts shirtless, hands all tapped up, blood dripping on the ground!!! Obviously, we have nothing against all that, its all about perspective. It could be a serious turn off for some…and a serious turn on too??? But let’s just keeping clean and low key for that time, hope that make sense to all.

Lastly, we’re also revamping our fundamentals. Instead of five 1 hour sessions we’ll be doing one 2 hours session. This will allow us to run it more frequently (Every 3 weeks or so) and we’ll be combining it with an onramp program. New members or beginners will essentially get a 2 hour intro, cover basic movements, then have access to beginners friendly classes and a solid onramp program to ease them into heavy loads and volume. To top it up, every new member gets a one on one session with a coach.

We really want everyone to be the best they can, be safe, be smart and have the best possible experience at Pyro.
