Hello pyromanians, the event is less than a week away and we just wanted to let you know that everything is going as planned. A full outline of the day will be posted tomorrow. We’ll be posting heat times early this week. We still have athletes signing up so we’ll wait a bit longer. As most of you know, the first event is at the Highwood outdoor pool, at it’s deepest point, an adult can touch the ground and have water below the neck so it won’t be an issue for those of you that swims like bricks. First heat will start at 0915am sharp. Athletes on that heat should arrive around 0845am (pool will be open at 0800). You’ll have a chance to warm up and we’ll go over everything pyromania. Our judging system is pretty simple, we’ll have volunteers to do it but also, if you’re competing, you also have to judge somebody from the opposite gender.
As for the events, we won’t announce them until the day of the event. Be ready for the unknown and unknownable. We will share one detail, the second and third event will be at the Rosemount community Hall (Confederation park to be precise). The Rest of the events (4,5 and final event) will at CrossFit Pyro.
One last thing, this event is meant to be fun, don’t take yourself too seriously.
